
Semester Assignments & Activities:
Specific work assignments completed during the semester will be determined by the requirements for individual projects selected by restoration teams. As a senior and graduate-level course in applied ecology, a premium will be placed on both the ability to work independently to assimilate necessary technical information and skills as well as the collaboration needed to accomplish team goals. Some of the general assignments will be to:

Assemble an individual Manual of Restoration Ecology from provided resources to assist learning and planning for restoration activities. |

· |
Perform the restoration planning and checklists included in the online textbook: Stream Corridor Restoration - Principles, Processes, and Practices. |
|
· |
Maintain an individual and team logbook to document planning and fieldwork activities. |
|
· |
Effectively participate in discussion seminars, demonstration workshops, and field laboratory sessions designed to cover foundation material in restoration ecology. |
|
· |
Prepare a formal technical restoration plan with your team. |
|
· |
Present an end-of-semester restoration project report that will be evaluated by external reviewers. |
